Okoume (Aucoumea Klaineana)
Status: Vulnerable (Threatened) and available.
Other Common Names: Okume
Found in Gaboon Africa, these members of the Burseraceae family (Aucoumea) can grow to 90-120 feet in height and 3-7 feet in diameter. .
Color is pale brown.
Medium texture, machines well and turns well. Specific Gravity: .???. Avg. Dry Weight: ??? pounds per cubic foot.
Used to make: plywood and musical instruments
